Our
Story
Fellowship L.I.F.E. is an independent congregation that began in December of 2012. We spent two years meeting in homes. In April of 2015, we were led to our former location in the heart of Centreville. Then in January of 2024 we were led to an amazing space in the town of Ridgely which offered many more opportunities and amenities. We are thrilled to be able to serve our communities from this new location!
Through the years, the Lord has grown us in so many ways:

In our understanding of who God is;

In what it means to have a personal and real relationship with Him through the grace we are offered by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ;

In our knowledge of His Word through diligent and honest study and discussion, and by revelation from the Holy Spirit.
He has also grown us as a family - truly living life together! We are diverse generationally, ethnically, in our backgrounds, and in our seasons of life, but we are united by a common purpose to genuinely love God, to love others, and to live life together in the unity of faith.

Since moving to the Eastern Shore 11 years ago I’ve been praying and searching for a church where my family and I felt truly welcomed. My prayers were answered in 2014 when Pastor Larry and his family moved next door to us. The funny thing about it is that I didn’t even realize my prayers had been answered until the spring of 2015 when I attended my first service which at the time was being held in Pastor Larry’s home. I grew up going to church and I’ve visited quite a few churches over the years, but what sets Fellowship LIFE apart from the others is that Fellowship LIFE is a church that welcomes anyone no matter the race, gender or sexuality. It doesn’t matter how much money you make or what kind of clothes you wear, you’re always welcomed with a friendly smile. Worshiping at Fellowship LIFE is how I imagine heaven is going to be, no judgment, no shame, no envying and no worries, just LOVE.

We had been "believers" ever since childhood. We were always aware of the truth of Jesus Christ and God's teachings, but we did not attend a church except on occasion. However, we did not have a "personal relationship" with God. We started attending Bible study with our Pastor, Larry Wheeler, about 5 years ago and all of a sudden we understood what true "belief" and "faith" were. We became "Born again" and have been with our church family at Fellowship L.I.F.E. from the beginning. Being a part of this congregation and the study that we do of the Bible and God's teachings have enriched our lives beyond measure. We are a diverse group of people of many backgrounds, ethnicities, and ages. What a joyous journey God has taken us on, and we are blessed and so grateful.

Being part of the family of Fellowship L.I.F.E. church has opened my eyes to the Truth. It has helped me to understand Grace and to be able to extend that to my family and friends, as the Lord desires it to be. I am so grateful to be a part of the joy that the Lord blesses this congregation with, and the love that we have for each other. We open up our arms to whomever wants to enter, and always lend a listening ear. Our Pastor, Larry Wheeler, always has an uplifting message. Through all of life's trials and tribulations, I have learned the grace and love of God from my wonderful friends at Fellowship L.I.F.E.​
